GB Projects invests in second wood waste heater for solid timber production annexe
With a view to streamlining business processes as well as saving money on heating and waste disposal bills, Dewsbury-based furniture manufacturer, GB Projects, recently purchased a second wood waste heater from Wood Waste Technology.
A family-run manufacturing business that’s been trading for over 40 years, GB Projects supplies high-specification bespoke and contract commercial furniture for many industries, providing exceptional quality interior solutions. Having experienced the benefits of a wood waste heater for over 10 years, the management team made the decision to invest in a second unit. The company manufactures all of its solid timber products in a separate annexe, so an additional wood waste heater situated there would help to dispose of waste wood while providing free heating for employees.
Managing Director of GB Projects, Geoff Burrows, explains: “While we already have a wood waste heater in the main building, it’s quite a long way away from the annexe, so it made more sense to purchase a dedicated unit for the solid wood offcuts area. As there’s no other available heat source in the annexe, the heater will keep the area nice and warm for members of our team working in there, while saving money on other heating costs. We’re extremely pleased with our purchase – it’s performing exactly as required.“
Wood Waste Technology MD, Kurt Cockroft, says: “We’re delighted that GB Projects chose Wood Waste Technology to help in this instance. It’s always a pleasure to be able to assist other businesses when it comes to saving money on waste disposal and heating costs.”
