Coastal Group's new SV7 Glazing Gasket creates a neater look for door & windows

According to Coastal Group, the new SV7 Glazing Gasket combines exceptional performance – even in the harshest environmental conditions – with a cleaner, more slimline aesthetic.

Unique to the company, this glazing gasket was developed alongside strategic partners, Deventer, based on customer feedback seeking a slimline option for doors and windows. Coastal Group’s Head Of Sales, Adrian Welch, explains: “The SV7 is designed to achieve a neat glazing line around the glass, which is barely visible when paired with black spacer bars; this delivers the much sought-after, cleaner look that our customers have been requesting.”

First-class weather protection for windows & doors

While the aesthetic is an important contributing factor to the finished window, Coastal Group outline exceptional performance as the primary function of the glazing gasket itself.

“The SV7 Glazing Gasket was recently used on our Inowa sliding door system weather test,” continues Adrian, “achieving the highest possible E1500 Standards, giving peace of mind to our customers and ensuring first-class weather protection for their windows and doors.”

As the main UK Distributor, the SV7 is the latest addition to the Deventer weatherseal range, available exclusively from Coastal. Deventer is a market-leader in supplying high-quality weatherseal solutions for doors and windows with a number of distinct benefits:

* Made from high quality TPE closed-cell microfoam, which is resistant to water absorption.

* Quick and easy to fit with no ripples.

* Compatible with resin and acrylic paint.

* UV, Ozone and Smoke resistant.

* Cradle to Cradle certified seal, thus making it environmentally friendly and fully recyclable.

Coastal also outline the fact the SV2 works perfectly with their bow pinner secret nail glazing beads, and can be used as part of the company's glazing products solution, as Adrian confirms: “This solution has been proven to not only eliminate time-consuming and fiddly elements associated with the glazing process, but also ensure production of a high-quality window.”

This glazing solution involves a four-step process:

1. Firstly, CoFirm Glazing Tape is used to meet PAS24 requirements;

2. Coastal’s Durodeen pre-machined beading is easily cut to length and fitted - backfilling with silicone if required;

3. Durodeen beads are then secret nailed in place using a Senco Bow Pinner;

4. The final step involves cutting the glazing gasket to length and pushing into a pre-machined groove in the Durodeen Bead.
